Review: Just a Little Kiss by Renita Pizzitola

Just a Little Kiss Just a Little Kiss by Renita Pizzitola
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loveeeeed it!

I really liked the book, the romance, how it plays, the chemistry between the characters, the few messed up things that happen and the cute little things too. It's a really good story, entertaining and fun, a light read but a realistic one, something you can relate to, it's about two normal people trying to live normal life, with all that encompasses, with no unnecessary drama. Sometimes these "normal" kind of books are underestimated and we got some stories that have so much going on and they get so repetitive! So it's really nice to have something like this. And I LOVED IT!

I really don't have much to say, but I'm telling you this:
I have this little notebook and pen on my night stand, next to my kindle so I can take notes on it about the books I'm reading to make my reviews later and remember things. If I don't use that notebook it's usually because it's a book from an author I know and love and don't have to say anything about it or because I absolutely loved the book and there's nothing to add. In the particular case of this book I only added 2 things:

-I feel really connected to Felicity the leading female, and her fear of failure and to try out new things, I totally get it, I am that way too. Also, I see that she guards herself a lot and damn that is so me and I'm not proud of it but I relate to it, to her anxiety, to her over-thinking things, so that makes this book super special to me.

- I really love the friendship between Felicity and Isla, I love how Isla encourages Felicity to improve, to be better, to get out of her comfort zone and she reassures Felicity about the possibility about a better future. She's the best BFF!

I'd like to add that this series has really grown on me with each book, this is probably my favorite of them and I think I see a growth in the author, or maybe it's because I like it more with every new book but whatever it is I really recommend it!

I was giving an e-copy of this book for a honest review.

Review: Paper Hearts by Claire Contreras

My Review: 5 of 5 stars!

"I lost her. No, I didn't lose her. I threw her away. She was my best friend. I was never supposed to fall in love with her. I was careless. She was heartbroken. I was doing fine until she came back into my life and reminded me what love was supposed to feel like. When it's all said and done, she may not want to stay, but this time I'm going to do everything in my power to not let her go"

I finished the book a few hours ago and all I can say is that it was everything I hoped it was and more. This is the story of Mia and Jensen, and how after years apart they found each other again after a lot of pain and heartache. The question is Will Mia be able to stay for good or is the past too still too fresh for her?

Let's start at the beginning though... Have you seen Claire's covers? Well I think the cover of this book was the first clue of how amazing it was gonna be...

Claire has a very special way of writing, I think her writing is complex and to be honest at the first few pages of the book it was hard for me to concentrate and follow her, not because it wasn't good or difficult but because it required my whole attention and my mind was all over the place for some reason. And besides, English is not my first language and I'm still trying to get better at it everyday. But then I started appreciating this writing, the complexity and beyond that the meaning of the book. I can say that this story was a Romance story, in the category of New Adult. As you must know, if you've read my blog or previous reviews, those are my favorite kinds of books, but this one, this one I loved it because it was much more than that.
The story was awesome, it was good, it had my heart sweating and beating and all worked up, my eyes filled with tears more than once even though they didn't fell. And sometimes I found myself smiling at the screen on my e-reader and sighing happily, but what really conquered me and made me gave the book 5 stars were the deep meanings on it, the deep thoughts, the lessons that I could take from it. I even wrote them on a notebook while reading, so here they are.

- It has really deep thoughts on life, love and society and the only way I can explain this right now without making this too long is by writing this quotes from Mia.

"We were all confused together, and ultimately, all lost together, despite our ages, races, genders and anything else that set us apart"
Mia while people watching and taking pictures and analysing people, society and life. I loved this quote because it matches what I think on these subjects and it reached to me.

"Some might argue I never fell out of him, but I didn't think love was about falling in or out; it was about staying in. And we didn't"
I loved this realisation of Mia while thinking of her relationship of Jensen, I never thought about it that way and I like that kind of thinking even though I know it might not be always that way.

- I felt this book was a journey, for the characters-specially Mia. A journey of forgiveness, to the one who she felt did her wrong and to herself. It's about recognizing you're stuck with something, a situation, a person and that something it's not letting you be happy and live your life to the fullest. It's a journey of moving on with your resentment and sadness and also a tale of second chances.

- It's also about loving someone so much, maybe too much, yet still knowing what and who you're with or without them and loving your self the same way.

- It showed me that sometimes all you need is someone to keep fighting for you when you can't, someone who doesn't give up on you, on them, even if you did, but that eventually it's you, and only you, the one who has to fight for yourself, for your love and the life you want to live.

So after all these items... How could I have not love the book? It was impossible not to, it was this awesome!

P.S: And all those Game of Thrones references and mentions... I totally loved that!!!

August's BOTM: Favorite Books of the Month

So I skipped July's BOTM... But you know what's funny? I had it on a Draft and totally forgot to published it.... Silly Me!

Anyway, here's my Favorite read books of August, I read a lot more, as you can see on the bottom of my page, but here are my faves and the ones I thought deserve my mention:

Source: jilliandodd.net
1. That Baby by Jillian Dodd (That Series)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was actually gonna go on July's FOTM because I read the first books of THAT SERIES that month, but since I forgot to post it I'm gonna leave it here now.

I thought these book were beautiful. Really cute story, with lots of funny moments, and a few tough ones too. I can honestly say that they made me laugh, made me sob (notice I say sob, not cry), and made me smile and fall in love with the characters in a really deep way. I think the leading female is wonderful, she has humour and wit and I just really love her. It was a perfect story to read at night before going to bed, on the beach or wherever, while wishing for better and happier things in life. The first book is That Boy where the female characters goes through life with two best friends, both male, we see how she grows up with them and then one of them turnes out to be THE ONE for her.Next in the series is That Wedding, it follows right where That Boy left off and shows how the characters go through the planning of the wedding, we see their doubt, their love, their fights, their frustrations, their insecurities and dealing with things that weren't dealt in the previous book. It's equally beautiful and leads to the last book released on August 10th called That Baby, here we see the process of pregnancy and how relationships change and develop now that they're married and expecting a child, the preparation and the fears that comes with that. Also there's the delivery of said child and there might be some drama that ends up beautifully. I really reccommend this book to you guys, it's a funny and pretty story about love, life and family :)

Get the books here!

2. The Fill-in Boyfriend by Kasie West

The Fill-In Boyfriend
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

That was such a great reading. I was done in one sitting, it just felt too short and I wish there was more, I want to know more about Bec and see how things progress between Gia and Hayden :) it was awesome! A young story, with lots of chemistry and some deep thoughts there too, a little bit of comedy and since it's a YA book there's not steamy or smut and when I read it I was in need of a break of the Adult books. I think this book left room to explore more of the characters since they were gonna head to college and stuff and it left open doors to explore the secondary characters too. I really recommend it if you're in need of something light, fun and good.

3. Better When He's Brave by Jay Crownover

4. Devious Minds by K.F. Germaine

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bonus:

With Me in Seattle series by Kristen Proby

This is a series of 8 books plus a novella. I rated them from 3 to 5 stars, there were things that annoyed me, there were things that I loved, there were characters that charmed me and others that I didn't care at all for them. However what it makes it worth of posting here is that I love the fact that one of the biggest aspects of the series besides love and romance is that is a series about friendship and family, and I not mean the type of family build because of blood ties, but because of bonds that are beyond genetics. This series shows a family built on trust, on friendship, on love and that makes it a hell of a strong one, one I hope I can have one day along with my biological one. So I recommend it to all of you who loves books about family and friendship and romance. Also there's smut and erotic scenes which makes it really hot. ;)

Book Release & REVIEW: WHERE WE BELONG by J. Daniels

Title: Where We Belong
Series: Alabama Summer #4
Author: J. Daniels
 Release Date: August 21, 2015

Blurb

From NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, J. Daniels, an Alabama Summer series novella.

Ben and Mia Kelly can’t seem to catch a break.

Grueling night shift and opposing schedules have left the passionate couple geared up and ready for some much needed alone time. There’s only one thing standing in their way.

Parenthood.

With two curious boys who have mastered the art of cock-blocking roaming the house, Ben and Mia, sexually frustrated beyond reason, quickly resort to surprise sexcapades and naughty little trysts whenever and however they can get them.

Who said anything about keeping things legal?

Assume the position. Things are about to heat up in the south.

Warning: This book is recommended for readers over the age of 18 due to strong language and explicit sexual content.

MY REVIEW:
**** 4 STARS

I can actually say I liked this book much more than the first one, maybe because I had already fell in love with the characters and I got to explore much more of them. Here we get to see their married life and how they deal with parenthood and also with being a couple. I think the events played in the book were pretty real and they're something that happens to a lot of married couples with children and everything was described with humour and also with love and urgency too.
My favourite thing about this series, and specially about Where I Belong and Where We Belong is Nolan, I love that kid so freaking much. I adore Nolan's relationship with Mia, since their first moment together. And this is personal, but I love that Mia is a real mom to him, 'cause I would have love that my mom's ex-husband would have been a real dad to me and put me first before his needs and not compete with me for my mom's love. Mia is not like that at all and I love how giving she is.
Also, I really liked that sex here was presented as an issue. That they struggle to have a healthy sexual life now that they have kids and are married. It's very real and somehow at the same time it's not all about the sex just for the sake of it, but it's because they love and miss each other and sex is their way of connecting in the most deep way and show each other that love.
I still think I would have like more character development, specially in Mia's case, I don't know about her dreams as an individual and not only just as a mom and married woman,  but I guess it's what it is. I still liked the book a lot! :)

Book Review: DEVIOUS MINDS by K.F. Germaine

Devious Minds
 by K.F. Germaine
My rating: 4.5 ***** of 5 stars

Devious Minds

"A New Adult Comedy
When Sydney Porter transfers to Northern University, she’s ready to put her past behind her. Landing a job on campus as an irreverent radio personality, she uses the anonymity to air all the campus dirty laundry—earning the infamous Sunday Lane more than a few enemies. But her true passion is spinning records, even if Drunk Earl is her biggest fan.
Sydney’s junior year kicks off with the promise to be amazing. Or at least it does until Gray Peters, hotshot quarterback, unexpectedly reenters the scene. His presence threatens to destroy everything she has going, as well as resurrecting a night Sydney never wants to remember or repeat. She’d run away like a coward, but this time she's determined to stay and fight.
A twisted battle of wit and trickery ensues, with one common goal—vengeance. Sydney and Gray set out to make each other miserable. But misery loves company, and soon, walls are destroyed and truths are revealed that could change their future forever. "
*** Contains mature situations and language ***

I think this books was awesome, it was hilarious and smart and it made me smile and laugh a lot, and even get a little bit emotional.
My first thought on the book were a little bit confusing though. I thought we had a strong lead female, with a lot of character and complexity, but a little too vengeful? That thing of the beginning was a little bit too much, but then I remembered this is a comedy and it was everything ok. Also, Sydney's fun as hell and I like her way of thinking.
Gray was totally loveable, smart and hot and a little bit wicked when needed to be. The chemistry between the two lead characters was amazing and I was really digging it.
I need to mention the relationship between Syd and her brother, Jack. It was a complex one, yet I loved it. They love each other and to hear the stories of them as children made me smile and maybe my eyes were shining a bit too much here.
I think the ending was perfect and I wish this was a series 'cause I'd love to know more about Jack, Fernando an Chance, they were super fun characters.
So this was a great book, a light reading but a smart one too, with witty characters and fun love story.

IT HAD POTENTIAL BUT IT DISAPPOINT! New Section.

So I'm gonna start a new section on this blog. I don't like to review books I don't like, usually if I finish reading it I liked it enough. However, I just finished a book that it seriously needs to be discussed, so I'm gonna review it, 'cause I need to talk about it.

Book:

Tattoo Thief by Heidi Joy Tretheway  ** 1.8 Stars

"22-year-old Beryl doesn't know why Gavin Slater trashed his penthouse, abandoned his dog and fled the country. But as his house sitter, she must pick up the pieces for the front man of the white-hot rock band Tattoo Thief. When ultra-responsible Beryl confronts the reckless rock star, she wants to know more than just what to do with his mess. Why is he running? What’s he searching for? And is he responsible for the death of his muse? New York newbie Beryl must find her footing in Gavin’s crazy world of the ultra-wealthy to discover her own direction and what can bring him back. Steamy, sassy and tender, Tattoo Thief is a story of breaking from a comfort zone to find a second chance."

This book started so great, but it was such a disappointment. Zero conflict resolution, or even an approach of it. The lead female that I thought might be so authentic at first turned out to be just a copy of somebody else, I have a lot to say, but be warned there's going to be SPOILERS!!!
I need to talk about stuff that without the details of the events in the book it's just not gonna be the same. So here I go.

Everything was fine, this was going to be a 4 stars book. There were some things that might have been a little annoying but it was a good read anyway. That lasted only 'till the first 50% of the book. And then it all went slowly to hell... And I'm gonna do a list here of everything that made book a disappointment to me.

SPOILERS AHEAD, CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED
1. She falls in love with the guy incredibly fast, with some superficial chat and e-mail exchange. I mean it wasn't all superficial, but certainly not to fall in love THAT fast.
2. When he seems to return some of the same feelings and they meet she kisses him only after a few minutes of talk, and that's ok, that's great for her to be so brave, but... When he puts some breaks on the make out session, she seems so disappointed and afraid and thinks there was some kind of relationship already that will not continue... (This annoy me and I didn't know why)
3. Then, the guy stood her up, and she was mad with fair reason. But while having an argument about it he asks if she trusts him and she doesn't answer inmediately, so the guy seems dissapointed and she answers him on the spot that she does trust him but he hurt her and needs to explain. (I got a feeling she wasn't sure if she trusted him but told him she did to not hurt him or dissapoint him, I'm really tired of write that word. And I mean, how can she trust him completely, they shared some secrets and stuff bu THEY DON'T REALLY KNOW EACH EATHER THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE MEET FACE TO FACE)
4. Oh and here comes the biggest issue. The thing that bothered me through most of the book but it wasn't really an issue 'till this happened: She, Baryl (that's her name) starts wearing Gavin (That's him) death ex/muse's clothes, after he asked her she get rids of them. I could have understand this, it was expensive and perfect clothes and If I had been just a worker on the guy's house I would have keep them too, after washing them and certainly would have gotten rid of the dead girls UNDERWEAR!!!!!!! Her underwear!!! this is just so wrong. But the worst is when she wears the clothes for their first date, the date when Gavin stood her up. It turned out he did show up at the place, he just couldn't get out of the car 'cause she saw her wearing his ex/muse's clothes! So he couldn't deal with it, it was a trigger for him. Well, Gavin tells her this, but she doesn't approach it, she just tells him she went out with other guy after she was stood up... And then, when everything's solve, and the main 'conflict' was solved, it was just drama btw, they go to a T.V show (Jimmy Fallon's) and she goes with the dead girl's clothes again and she says she has HIS BLESSING to wear them... WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!

It seems to me that Baryl is just trying to be the replacement of Gavin's muse. And when he's aks if he found a new one he says it's no that, he says that that it's not healthy and it's addictive and bla, bla bla. But then he asks her to be the new model for the next cover of their new album (the band) and she accepts. Do you know who was the model for the two previous albums of the band? IT WAS GAVIN'S DEAD EX GIRLFRIEND/MUSE. And Baryl keeps wearing her clothes. And I was done, I was fucking done. And I say it with respect. This is not against the author, it's my attempt to make a constructive criticism to a book that had so much potential, it was a great story, the preview was awesome and it captivate me, but I read it and nothing was right. This things I just mentioned could have perfectly been an issue in the book, and used as a conflict, as part of the relationship, as means to an end. They could have grown together as people and a couple by overcoming this issues. The book just ended and this things were there like they were normal, but let me tell you this, this are issues that are not normal in a healthy relationship and that eventually would explode and made everyone insecure with themselves, that's what I see in this couple's future. Baryl beeing insecure of herself after realizing that she's the exact same copy of Lulu, Gavin's ex/muse. She could have been a new muse of her own, with her own identity, but she was just a copy. The clothes were a massive No for me, they could have discussed it, make an agreement, approach these subjects and not let them float in the book like normal. I think if that was approached, it would have been an awesome book and I would have given it at least a 4 stars review. Sadly, it was not. :(

REVIEW: Truth or Beard by Penny Reid

Truth or Beard ***** 4.8 stars.

***
First, I have to say that this book has an special meaning to me, for the way I got it. Penny Reid, the author, wrote updates of the sells of this books on his facebook page, and asking if it was annoying that she was stalking herself. I answer it congratulating her and telling her it was awesome but I was just envious 'cause I couldn't buy it due to my money issues. A person reply to me telling me she would be happy to give myself a copy of the book. It was overwhelming and I was so thankful, I wrote her telling her my story, telling her that I needed it specially because I'm going through a lot, emotionally, and this gift couldn't have arrived at a better time.

***
This is the first book of the Winston's brothers series. Here we can see the story about Duane Winston and Jessica James. I won't bother writing you a resume or teaser about the book, for that you can visit goodreads, amazon, or the author's page. I'm just gonna say that the best you can do before reading this series is reading the 'Knitting the City' series, to know about all of this and meet Dueane, who we meet on the book Beauty and the Mustache.

What I tell you is that I think this was a very fun book to read. a great choice for distracting yourself this summer or just relax and forget about your real life problems. It's a book that it has a lot comedy in it, but it's not just laugh, it has a bit of action, even if it's just a little. Besides, what I like the most about Penny Reid's books is her writing, it's not full of easy words or grammar or plot, it's full of intelligence and humour, special for adult's and girls in her 20's. The characters on their books were smart, they were professionals, they were fun, but not quite simple, there was something more, some deep in them. Well, I just loved it! I can't wait to read more books of this series. Besides, who doesn't like a guy with a beard, smart, and sexy as hell?

P.S: BTW, so happy to read that to Jessica's eyes Billy and Ashley looked like twins, I guess their relationship keeps getting better and growing.

P.S. 2: This reading was the best that could happened to me all week. Thanks to the author for this awesome reading.

Book Review: SCORCHED by JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

***** 5 STARS

Scorched is the second book in the Frigid series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, this book is about a girl who likes to party and be carefree, then we discover that she hides some issues and how she finds the strength to acknowledge and deal with them.
I don't always like to dwell on abstract of the book, if you want that you can read the preview on Goodreads :)

So let's go to what's important here, what I thought about the book. Well I loved it.
I don't even have much to say to it. All I can say is that I'm probably biased because my arguments revolve around my feelings, and this book make me feel EVERYTHING! Yes, from the sassyness of the female lead character, Andrea, the chemistry with the male lead, Tanner, but what really got through me, what made me cry, and feel hopeful and feel strong and inspired me, was Andrea and her issues, I don't want to spoil but I can say that I felt related in some kinda way with her, there are so many people who deal with mental issues, with mood issues, it's a reality and sometimes we are shamed by others who don't understand, and sometimes not even ourselves accept that there are things we need to deal to have a better life, a better future, to feel better with yourself. This book taught me that you have to be determined to be better and that the first step is recognize you have a problem, and that it's ok to ask for help, that I can still live a normal life and have a happy ending, or as many happy moments as I want!

So I'm gonna make this short and sweet, if you, like me, deal with sadness, depression, anxiety, substance abuse or other kind of thing that makes you not feel ok, read this, admit to yourself what you need help, want that help and ask for it. This book wasn't just a light read about romance, it actually teaches something, help us and makes us realize that we're not alone and that we can be HEARD.

After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart. Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her. But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. REVIEW: Maybe Someday - Colleen Hoover

5 STARS

A love story that involves music, composition, guitar, and the issue of communication through voice and ear... Well there's just too many beautiful elements combined in just one story. But when you put there beautiful-ness too and heartache, it's just perfection. Or at least it was tome. Not to mention that this books has a really great playlist that you can find here: Maybe Someday Soundtrack. I think that was pretty awesome, to actually being able to put music to the lyrics shown in the book, and experience the fiction of the story not only through written words but also through actual music that's a plus I wasn't counting on and I absolutely loved. I've have this book for months now, as an ebook as always, and I don't know why I never picked it up, even though I really wanted to read it.
I know why now. Because it was too close to heart. Ok, so I haven't fallen for a talented deaf musician genius, with a loyal and beautiful heart who had a girlfriend. But I did fall for a friend with a girlfriend from another country, he never promised anything and we did everything we could to not let anything more to developed between us, I just wasn't strong enough, he wasn't strong enough, since this is not personal book all I can say here is that we ended hurting more than we should, and I let it happen, and in the end, the guilt, the blame, the loss of self-respect, probably wasn't worth it in terms of getting back, of reciprocation, 'cause I did gave everything of me, and I mean EVERYTHING.
When he finally broke up with her, it wasn't for choosing me, it was because she was leaving for good. So when we tried, it didn't worked, I couldn't deal with the doubt, the guilt, the insecurity that I was the second choice, 'cause unlike Sydney, our leading female on the book, I was the second choice and the guy never reassured me of any different, because it wasn't any different from where my thoughts were. I can't even put into words all the pain I went through for all the choices made, and there's no number for all the tears shed. And in the end, that pain changed part of me, that today I really miss, it made me insecure, self conscious and depressive. That was less than 4 years ago, I still see him sometimes, in fact I saw him yesterday, just a few hours before starting the book. I still can't say no to him. There's still some part of me that believes if he comes back for me for good I would take him. I hate myself for that, for how weak he makes me feel, but specially because I'm the one who lets him.

Wow...  wasn't planning on putting all this here, but while reading, I couldn't help but thinking how I wish this is how my own story would have ended, but instead my heart broke and I was the only one to blame. Reading this was painful for me, but it was such a beautiful story. I just wish mine would have even just a little bit alike... Well reality is never like you want and we can't always get what we want. But then again, that's the most amazing thing about books. :)

REVIEW: Perfectly Damaged - E.L. Montes

***** 5 STARS

“The sadness will last forever” Vincent Van Gogh
“How can you fix me when I can’t even fix myself?”
“Live for today, push for tomorrow”

What a book. I’m just wiping my nose and drying my face from all the tears, my head hurts from all the sobbing, and my heart swells with emotion. The good and the not so good.

This books talks about mental disease, schizophrenia and depression to be exact. The first one is really hard to get and I can’t even begin to comprehend what it means to have to live with it. And my heart, thoughts, good vibes and the little strength I have, goes to those who suffer from this condition. However, I do know about depression, I’d live on and off with it for the last, give or take, 7 years of my life, not in big levels, but this past few years it’s been harder with all the grown up stuff that we have to deal with. Anyway, this book, touch me deeply and like very few. In no way I’ve had it as bad as Jenna, the leading female of this book, but still somehow I could relate in some levels.

In no way is a light book, it wasn’t for me, I started crying in page 11 I think, but don’t distress, I laugh and smile and even feel some butterflies throughout the book as well. But if I’m being honest, some of the scenes were really hard to read, they were harsh, but unfortunately they were real.

It reflects with such reality, still having in consideration that is a work of fiction, the struggle of people who suffers from mental illness or conditions. In both ways, internally and socially, it goes through the relationships between a patient and its family, friends and lovers and it makes you realize how hard we are with those who we think aren’t normal only because we think or see them as different from us and from what is the socially accepted as normal. But it’s also a book that shows that however we are, there’s always a light to reach, there’s always the possibility of getting better still having at account that life is not perfect and that some days are much better than others. It shows that we can still found love however we are, on family, friends, and even in hot boys, or just good (for us) boys for that matter. But that all of this is especially true if we first learn to accept ourselves the way we are and to love ourselves with the good, the bad and the gray. Nothing is truly fine until we realize that, and especially when we agree to ourselves more than to anyone that with our wills and some help (medicine, psychotherapy, art, friends, family, meditation, sports, etc.), that we can be better and live step by step, day by day.

REVIEW: Opposition (Lux Series - Jennifer L. Armentrout)

***** 5 STARS

So, it's over. The awesome alien YA series of this awesome author has come to the end with last week's release of Opposition. The story about Katy Swartz and her alieneighbours reach its climax in this last book giving a lots of sensations to us...

I got the book on my Kindle the exact second the book was released, since I was reading another book then, I decided to wait to finish it and then start reading the book, but to make the experience much more better, I thought it was a perfect moment to re read the entire series so I could start Opposition with everything fresh in my mind to meet the conclusion of this exhilarating book series.

I really am lost at words in what to say about this book. I don't have any notes, any buts, any points or critics that may be object, I think I'm just in love with everything Armentrout writes, weather is as Armentrout or as her pseudonym J. Lynn for adult books. She never cease to amaze me, she never fails to envelop me in her worlds, I've reading all of her released books except for Obsession (the arum counterpart to the luxen series) and that will change soon, since I already got Obsession and gonna start reading as soon as I have this paper done for work! (Which is killing me btw, 'cause all I want to do is read!).

So all I really have to do is to describe what my emotions were while I was reading, first of all, Daemon Black is kind of like a contemporary Mr. Darcy for me, that's how perfect (with all his imperfections) he is. I'd be hypocrite to say that I'd never dream with a certain type of guy as a boyfriend (for not saying a prince charming 'cause duh, that's so unrealand Daemon, just as Mr. Darcy and a few other fictional characters meets those expectations so perfectly, I mean who wouldn't dream with a guy who is hot as hell, and loves you like you're his entire and only world?. Yes I'm very aware that he was such a douche in the beginning, but come on, it was all because he was trying to protect his family, doing what he thought it was right. Lame excuse if I actually start thinking as a sociologist and all the gender theories in my mind, but screw it I just fucking love the guy no matter all the symbolic violence he exerted toward Katy, and sure I hated him in the beginning just for that, but I can't deny that everytime Kat and Daemon had a scene together, there were butterflies in my tummy, and I must confess with a lot of shame to make it public, that I even got a little horny with all that sexual tension that only Jennifer can put into books like so few others!
All that being said, Daemon didn't disappoint on this last book, he kept being the hot dark guy full of light and love for his people, his Kat and his family and friends. He kept making me feel butterflies and wishing I had a boy like that, or just any boy to be honest.

Kat didn't disappoint either, Kat is the girl next door that turns into a complete badass over time, she grows in terms of strength and personality like only few characters does, she makes me remember Mac from the Fever series, with a lot of more realistic touches, well except for the alien mutation thingy, and fuck when she crashed at her house when she found out the lost of .... I crashed with her, I sobbed with her, and even when she put on her big girl pants and took some kind of control on her emotions and all that strength, I was still sobbing 'cause she's my hero, and I'm 25 and want to be a bad ass just like her! (I'm lame and my aspirations comes in the form of fiction, ok?)

So in the end, this book make me smile, cry, curse, swoon and cry some more, and I think that's what makes art a perfection, either is a book, a movie, a T. V show, a song, or a painting, there's nothing more perfect than a piece of art, of creation that makes you feel, specially when it makes you feel so many things at once, and seriously, I cried a lot,  but in the end all I could was smile, smile and think "What did Daemon wrote to Kat on that note? I need to know!!!!!!!!

Praise for Jennifer L. Armentrout and her writing :)
